The biggest swimming pool in the world

San Alfonso del Mar the resort of in Chile deeply impressed the editors of the book of Guinness World Records with the amazing size of it’s swimming pool.
This artificial lagoon occupies eight hectares and is filled with 250,000 cubic meters (8 828 666 square ft. ) of water. It’s length is more than 1 km (0.62 miles), the maximum depth of it is 35 meters (114ft).

The water filtration is realized with the help of Crystal Company. They take water from the Pacific Ocean, filter it, heat it till 26 degrees and add it to the pool. Only thanks to that, they managed to get such a great clarity of water. To clear such pool is as difficult as to clean 6000 regular pools.
This incredible creation is certainly worth to be put to the Guinness book. This pool will please anyone: from the baby with the rubber ring to the professional athlete.
