5 Smartwatches With Features for Every Occasion

The last few years have seen a surge in smartwatch production, not only from tech brands, but from luxury watchmakers as well.  These watches all perform the basic smartwatch features, but each watch has its own special characteristics that make it well-suited for certain situations.  These are our favorite smartwatches for every occasion.

For Everyday Wear (iOS)

The Apple Watch is the first thing many people think of when they hear the term “smartwatch,” and for good reason.  Apple has produced two high-quality smartwatches boasting all the functions you look for on a daily basis.  The Apple Watch 2 added features like GPS, a waterproof design and several apps aimed at the sportsman to its already highly functional smartwatch design.  Interestingly, the Apple Watch 2 is the only watch on the list to look “like a smartwatch” and not a more traditional wristwatch.  The Apple Watch 2’s price begins around $370.

For Everyday Wear (Android)

The Huawei Watch has an amazingly high-resolution screen for a smartwatch, making it both a beautiful and fun watch to wear.  If you have an Android based phone, this is a ideal watch for day-to-day wear.  The Huawei Watch costs approximately $400.

For Outdoor Adventures

Nixon Mission‘s rugged design allows the wearer to embark on any number of outdoor adventures, including skiing and surfing, without leaving his smartwatch behind.  The watch is waterproof up to 100 meters and made from sturdy surgical-grade steel and tough rubber.  The watch itself is massive, however, so it isn’t an elegant choice for day to day wear.  The Mission also runs around $400.

For a Traditional Look

We’ve written about the Bulgari Diagono Magnesium in our round up of beautiful watches because it manages to look and operate like a traditional watch, while still offering smart features.  While the watch still uses traditional mechanical movement, it also includes a microchip that offers countless electronic features.  Expect to pay $3,900 to make a Diagono Magnesium your own.

For Form and Function

The TAG Heuer Connected combines TAG Heuer’s gorgeous looks with the powerhouse of a smartwatch.  The digital faces are among the best on the market, and the watch provides access to the vast array of Android Wear features.  The TAG Heuer is priced at $1,500.
Which of these amazing smartwatches has the features that are best suited to your life?
