If you are looking for a site as a parent that allows your child to have fun while providing games that are going to be helpful, or if you’re looking for things that provide nutritional tools and advice or your as a parent, that is what Nourish Interactive is there for. They provide all sorts of health educators to help you teach kids about things such as arts and crafts, campfire stories, even about fruits and vegetables. Stories, and there are word games that can help with spelling and learning new words. The concept is solid, to help increase knowledge .
Idea 9/10
The concept of the site is to help educate parents and children about how to stay healthy and gain knowledge about various things, such as the food groups. It provides games that will help teach arts and crafts,
Utility 5/10
The navigation is a little confusing. Instead of clicking on an area and being presented with a list of games, you are first taken to a page that has a motivational message and then you must click to another page. From here you will have a list of games that you can choose from. We find that many may begin to get annoyed by all the clicking required to go to different games.
Design 7/10
The site is nothing real fancy, looks old-school with a background image and some image mapping. This makes it load faster, but also appear less interesting. We have mixed feelings on the overall design, as parents may find it easier to understand due to it being basic and simple, but newer generations would likely find it boring.
Price 10/10
As it allows you to click through and play games for free, and you also get the motivational messages and tips at not cost, there isn’t much to go on for price other than giving it a full score.
Usability 7/10
Although we find that the concept is solid, the navigation and design is lacking and could hinder the overall usefulness based on the users preference. If the amount of clicking through pages on a site is too much, that person may not be interested in trying the different games. Also, if a person prefers something more modern with updated graphics, they may find the design boring.
For those that are okay with using the site, we believe it could prove to be useful. Some of the games include Kevin’s Build-a-Meal that teaches how to prepare meals, and there is a cooking academy too. These also help influence healthier eating too.
